Breast Cancer Prevention


There are a lot of small things you can do to prevent breast cancer that might add up to save you in the end.

  • Do weekly or monthly self breast exams.
  • Get yearly mammograms after the age of 40.
  • Sleep in absolute darkness, when you do your body produces melatonin, which impedes the growth of cancer and boosts your immune system.
  • Limit alcohol to one drink or less per day.
  • Maintain a healthy weight, there is a link between estrogen production in the fatty tissue and breast cancer.
  • Stay physically active, thats part of a healthy weight.
  • Limit your fat intake.
  • Avoid exposure to pesticides.
  • Don't smoke.
